Lent Soup Suppers & Projects

You are invited to “Lent Soup Suppers & Giving Projects”. You ask, “What is Lent?” Lent is a time when Christians remember Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness before ministering to people and ultimately dying on the cross to pay for our sins. Lent is a time when we can experience Jesus’ love in a special way and we can share his love with others.

Normally our children are loving individuals, but they can get into really bad habits of fighting, being disobedient, and acting on selfish behaviors. Lent is a great time to set the example of choosing to help others, the importance of giving more rather than receiving, and highlighting the goodness you see in them. When our family practice is to focus on being nicer, kinder and more generous, the children will notice and will eagerly want to take part in it!
